Endless roads leading through the Namib Naukluft

Endless Roads of Namib Naukluft

If you’ve been to Namibia before you know what we are talking about…
Post card material and picture perfect landscapes – our endless roads of Namibia!

We have traveled 430km’s through the Namib Naukluft Park from Swakopmund to Wolwedans in one day. The gravel roads through the semi-desert savanna are never ending and the vegetation changes notably every few kilometers. If you go on a self drive excursion through the Namib Naukluft make sure to come with lots of time to observe the amazing landscapes and wildlife. The roads are extremely long and go on for ever, so plan in a few picnic pit stops along the way for some memorable photographs or an ice cold local beer.

Quick Tip: There are 2 fueling stations a long the way- The Sossus Oasis Fuel and Service station in Sesriem and one in Solitaire- so make sure your cars have enough juice to keep you going.

Namib Naukluft is one of the the largest conservation area in Africa and it protects our phenomenal Namib Desert! There are so many things to do and see in the Namib Naukluft Park so make sure to work in at least one of the below:

01 | Sossusvlei

02 | View the spectacular landscape from above with Namib Sky Balloon Safaris (on our bucket list)

03 | Enjoy a magnificent Namibian sunset

04 | Hiking trail through the Sesriem Canyon

05 | Stay at our favorite Namibian Eco-friendly desert lodge – Wolwedans.
